EAC'S Commission on Relief & Development > Transforming the Nation Seminars
EAC is deeply interested in the impact of the Church on society. We constantly ask the question, “What difference are we making in our society?”
In order to help pastors think through this question we have adapted material developed by Bishop Dr. Agustin Vencer of the Philippines into a three-day seminar (three very full days). During the first part of the seminar we reflect on:
- A Christian Worldview
- The Church of the Twenty-First Century
- The Church in Society
- What Would a Discipled Nation Look Like?
- How Leaders Emerge
In very practical sessions we look at leadership skills and tools that can enable pastors to be more effective in impacting the community in which they serve. Topics include:
- Building Vision
- Planning and Decision-Making
- Developing an Action Plan
- Delegation and Motivation
- Developing Values
- Organising Work
- Evaluating and Correcting Performance
- Goal Setting
- Transparent Communication
- Building a Ministry Philosophy
