Salvation Army Marches in Georgetown
Georgetown, Guyana: Starting at Citadel headquarters located at Charlotte Street and South Road, the Salvation Army in Guyana marched through the streets of Georgetown to the car park next to Demico House in the heart of the city on Saturday, February 16. Territorial Commissioners Raymond and Judith Houghton led the march. A spirited rally was held at the car park attracting the attention of many in the city. Christian literature was distributed during the meeting. At the conclusion of the rally the Army marched through Brickdam back to its Divisional headquarters. The Commissioners Houghton are on their second official visit to Guyana since assuming leadership of the Caribbean Territory of the Salvation Army. The Commissioners are expected to spend several more days in Guyana.
