SPEAKERSWe are delighted to announce a fantastic line of Plenary Speakers for the 2013 Congress of Evangelicals in the Caribbean (CONECAR 2013). Leading the 2013 team is Emerson Boyce, EAC’s Secretary General and Congress Director: “Leading Change in Perilous Times.” We also have Paul Borthwick, professional trainer with Development Associates International: “Pursuing God’s Agenda of Spirit-controlled Leadership;” Bishop Ishmael Charles, Caribbean Field Director for the New Testament Church of God: “Spirit-controlled Leaders: Key to Leading Change;” and Bishop Ron Dublin-Collins, President of the St. Kitts Evangelical Association and presiding Prelate of the Church of God of Prophecy (St. Kitts): “The Biblical Approach to Leading Change.”

Paul Borthwick serves on the staff of Development Associates International (DAI), a training group dedicated to the character and ministry development of leaders in the under-resourced world. Paul teaches missions at Gordon College and serves as an Urbana/ Missions Associate with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship. Paul's ministry focuses on three priorities: mobilizing others for cross-cultural ministry, encouraging the ongoing growth of older leaders, and motivating the development of younger leaders. He serves as a resource person, teacher, speaker, and author. Paul is a graduate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, where he received a Doctor of Ministry (Cross-cultural ministry).
Paul and his wife, Christie, have been married since 1979 and live in Lexington, Massachusetts. They are members of Grace Chapel, Massachusetts.

Bishop Ishmael Charles, a native of St. Vincent, is the pastor of the International Worship Center Congregation in Tortola, BVI since 1989; a member of the International Executive Council and Caribbean Field Director for the New Testament Church of God; and Co-Chair of Empowered21 Caribbean Cabinet. Ishmael has given volunteer service in the British Virgin Islands with the Christian Council. He has planted and built several congregations and has established a growing Bible Institute in Tortola. He is an international speaker and mentor.
Bishop Charles received his theological training at Lee University, UK and the Church of God Theological Seminary in Cleveland Tennessee. He is the husband of Patricia Charles and the father of two children: Ishika and Ishroy.
