What is CONECAR 2013?It is the 11th Congress of Evangelicals in the Caribbean (CONECAR). CONECAR is the best ever and most successful event for Christian leaders in the Caribbean. This unique Congress offers dynamic speakers, innovative tutorials, and networking time with like-minded Christian leaders from every echelon of the Caribbean.

Who is hosting the Congress?The event is hosted by the Evangelical Association of the Caribbean – Commission on Evangelism and Missions (EAC-COEM), and the St. Kitts Evangelical Association (SKEA). For more information about EAC-COEM, visit EAC’s website:

Who will attend?Every sector of the Church in the Caribbean representing the Spanish, French, Dutch and English speaking nations will attend the Congress. Global Church leaders are also welcome to attend. All are welcome!

What products and services will be presented?All types of Christian, theological and hospitality products, services, and events will be represented; this includes conferences, meetings, missions, evangelism, and more.

What are the main events of the Congress?The Meet & Greet Reception; Biblical Foundations (Devotionals), and Plenaries; Educational Tutorials; and Dialogues.

What do I wear?The dress code for the day sessions is business casual; and semi-formal for the evening sessions. However, for the Opening and Closing Sessions, formal dress wear will be required.


When and where is the Congress?The 2013 Congress of Evangelicals in the Caribbean (CONECAR 2013) will be held from October 14-18, 2013 at the St. Kitts Marriot Resort, 858 Frigate Bay Road, Basseterre, St. Kitts. MARK these dates on your calendar today.

What is the cost to register?We take pleasure to announce that we have NOT increased costs on the CONECAR 2011 rates for registration! Click on the register link to see congress pricing. There are discounts for early registration.

Are meals included in the registration fees?The following meals and events are included in the registration fee:

  • • Monday: the first meal at the Congress is Dinner
  • • Tuesday: Morning Break, Lunch, and Dinner
  • • Wednesday: Morning Break, Lunch, and Dinner
  • • Thursday: Morning Break, Lunch, and Dinner
  • • Friday: Dinner only

What is your cancellation policy?The cancellation policy can be view by scrolling to the bottom of the register page.

When is on-site registration?On-site registration will take place on the following days:

  • • Monday: 8:30 A – 5:00 P
  • • Tuesday and Wednesday: 7:30 A – 5:00 P
  • • Thursday: 8:30 A – 12: Noon

What form of payment should I use?The primary payment form for the Congress is by Wire Transfer. Click on the register link; download the registration form for instructions.

When should I register?It is to your advantage to register early.

What time does the congress ends?The Gala Celebration on Friday night signals the end of the Congress.


Where is the hotel located?The St. Kitts Marriot Resort is the Congress Hotel; and is located at 858 Frigate Bay Road, Frigate Bay, Basseterre, St. Kitts. It is approximately 5 miles from the airport. Additional housing will be provided for at the Bird Rock Beach Hotel.

What is the name of the airport I fly to?The Robert Bradshaw International Airport (airport code: SKB).

How do I book a hotel room?There is a reserved room block for attendees to CONECAR 2013 at the St. Kitts Marriot Resort with a special discount rate. The rooms are limited, so we recommend making your reservations well in advance. You can make reservations by calling 1 – 869 – 466 – 1200; Fax: 1 – 869 – 466 – 3881. Please mention that you are attending CONECAR 2013 to receive the discounted Congress rate.

Do I have to stay at the Hotel?While it is recommended due to the proximity to the congress and special events that will take place, it is not a requirement to book a room at the Marriot Hotel.

What is the cost of the hotel room?The negotiated standard room rate for the St. Kitts Marriot is US $169.25 per room, per night (Double), and US $192.25 per room, per night (Triple). This rate is also available on a limited basis for three days before and three days after the congress if you decide to extend your vacation and enjoy all that St. Kitts has to offer. The hotel block is limited, so delegates are encouraged to book early to confirm a room at the hotel.

What is there to do onsite?The St. Kitts Marriot has plenty of amenities to keep you busy during any free time. They have pools, a spa and fitness club and many restaurants. Of course, there is also the beech if you want to scuba dive. Learn more from their website:

What are my transportation options?CONECAR 2013 will offer direct shuttle service from and to the Robert Bradshaw International Airport. The nominal fee (which is included in the registration costs) will eliminate the need for a rental car since all events are either on-site or with transportation provided.

What is checkout time? Will I have to miss a session to checkout?Hotel checkout time is 12:00 Noon. No, you will not miss a session. The Congress closes on Friday night. Late checkouts may be offered based on availability. You may check out and store your luggage with the front desk until you are ready to depart.


Are Exhibitors invited to attend?Of course, Exhibitors are welcome! CONECAR offers you a fresh approach and positive business environment you’ll find anywhere in the Caribbean. The Congress is a singular place to develop relationships with Mission Agencies, Theological Institutions, Christian Businesses & Bookstores, Congregations and denominations, etc.
